The recent amendment to the Legal Framework for Urbanization and Building (RJUE), effective since 2024, has transformed one of the most critical stages in any construction project: the occupancy permit, commonly known as the housing license.

Under the new regulations, this document is no longer mandatory and has been replaced by a set of technical documents, including a liability statement signed by the project designer, a declaration from the construction director, and the property’s technical file.
